Paddy is a Christian,
He’s always in a fight.
He thinks that he’s the only one
That ever can be right.

Paddy is a Christian,
But he shoots his Brother dead;
Hides behind the little ones,
With arms supplied by Reds.

Paddy is a Christian,
Though in Cromlin Road resides
Brother Mickey’s borrowed collar
To return to his own side.

Paddy is a Christian,
Of the Ian Paisley kind:
A narrow-minded bigot
With a closed and shuttered mind.

Paddy is a Christian,
With his gelignite and gun.
Murder in a shopping street
Is his idea of fun.

Paddy is a Christian,
And he fights in "freedom’s" name.
King Billy and the Sachs he knows
To feed his hatred’s flame.

Paddy is a Christian,
Be he Orange man or Green
Be he Protestant or Papist,
What to him can "freedom" mean?
